Voice / attribution guards
- Pascal wrote the Pensées in a dialogical register: the Wager (233) stages
an interlocutor («The true course is not to wager at all.»). Marked
speech is the imagined objector, not Pascal's own thesis — flagged at each
use site. - Latin inside a fragment (
Vere tu es Deus absconditus,Noli me tangere,
Inclina cor meum, Deus) is Pascal citing Scripture; attribute to the
fragment, never present as Pascal's coinage. - Every RU rendering of a quotation is «перевод наш» (from FR, cross-checked
vs Trotter). It is a paraphrase-grade aid, never the verbatim evidence; the
verbatim evidence layer is Trotter EN (+ FR arbiter for the famous lines).
Period tag for every unit: period: pensees (single-work corpus; Pascal has no
periodization in this KB — the Pensées are one late unfinished project).
